Communication and Social Media Program Manager, Fraternity and Sorority Life

Mea Anderson is a Stanford graduate who holds a B.A. in African and African American Studies with minors in Linguistics and Spanish from Stanford. They are the Communication and Social Media Program Manager for Stanford Fraternity and Sorority Life.

Mea’s journey with Stanford Fraternity and Sorority Life began in 2019 when they became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Xi Beta Chapter and later started working with FSL as a student intern. Through their position with FSL and membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Mea served as a committee lead and active member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the Community Engagement working groups, helped reshape the new member experience for Stanford’s Greek chapters, and led numerous social impact projects. An example of their community impact during their time at Stanford is the Xi Beta Justice for Black Lives Fundraiser they co-created which raised and donated over $220,000 to Black grassroots organizations. Mea has held various positions at Stanford in addition to FSL including working as a Program Coordinator for the Dean of Students Office and extensive work with the Office of Student Engagement, Black Community Services Center, and Haas Center for Public Service on campus.

They are grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the Stanford community in a professional capacity!
