Stanford Tri Delta welcomes individuals from all backgrounds. We believe diversity is the key to having a healthy, safe, and equitable community and are committed to making our chapter accessible to everyone. Tri Delta is defined by its community that holds countless social, cultural, and economic identities. Above all, we are dedicated to ensuring that Tri Delta is a space where everyone can find a sense of belonging. 

In 1999, Tri Delta established a national partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Since then, we have reached many milestones in our commitment of Tri Delta 4 St. Jude:

  • We have raised more than $84 million in support of St. Jude’s mission to find cures and save children. 
  • In 2022, Tri Delta completed the single largest commitment to St. Jude to date by raising $60 million in just 8 years. In honor of this commitment, in 2014 St. Jude named its on-campus, short-term housing facility Tri Delta Place. 
  • In 2013, Tri Delta celebrated raising $15 million in 3 ½ years to name the Specialty Clinic at St. Jude.
  • In 2010, Tri Delta successfully completed its $10 million in 10 years commitment in just 4 years to name the Bone Marrow Transplant Patient Care Floor.
  • In 2005 Tri Delta raised $1 million to endow the hospital’s teen room.

Today, our collegiate members play a critical role in our fundraising for St. Jude with campus events such as Stacks and Delta House of Pancakes (DHOP).

Financial Breakdown

Stanford Tridelta is devoted to financial accessibility for our chapter and believes no member should be barred from our community for financial reasons. With that said, we offer chapter specific financial assistance to any and all members who voice financial concerns. Our dues breakdown is below, followed by financial aid options. 


  • Our one-time new member fees are as follows for new members joining in the Spring:
    • Chapter and fraternity dues: $220
    • New member fee- fraternity: $48
    • Initiation fee- fraternity: $157
    • Badge fee: $105
      • Total: $530
  • Our quarterly Chapter & Fraternity dues is $220 for active members. 


  • The Stanford-run Opportunity Fund for students (which pays for all sorority-related expenses for those who are eligible) and an alumni-funded scholarship for active members are two of our biggest scholarship opportunities for members. We offer reduced fees/total financial assistance to those who don’t qualify for the Opp-Fund but feel that they need financial assistance. 
  • If you think of finances as a barrier to this community at all, please let us know and we will work individually with you to ensure that finances will not bar you from membership. 

Chapter Values: 
As a sorority, Stanford Tri Delta recognizes the institutional racism and classism that exists in Greek life. We are currently working with both ISC and Tri Delta Nationals to create systemic reform and address the harms of Greek life. We are not blind to the inherent problems of being a Greek organization, and we are dedicated to affecting positive, meaningful change in this system. However, we acknowledge that values are simply words and thus render no impact unless we bring them to life through meaningful and consistent action—we are looking for members who prioritize holding themselves and each accountable to the following projects in action and goals we have.

What We’re Reaching For:

  • Ensuring that our definition of service is not only towards St. Jude, but also to our campus and surrounding communities.
  • Working closely with Stanford Administration to reform and create lasting change of Greek Life’s existence and impact on campus.

Some Actions We’re Taking: 

  • Holding mandatory trainings that discuss racial and socio-economic inequities, implicit biases within our chapter and its recruitment practices.
  • Creating both informal support and mentorship systems as well as amending our bylaws to create formal accountability mechanisms for any breach of conduct according to our community values.
