About us
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the first intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established for African-American Men, was founded on December 4, 1906, at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York by seven college men who recognized the need for a strong bond of brotherhood among African descendants in this country.
Recognizing that Alpha doesn’t make great men, but great men make Alpha, the brothers of Nu Sigma Chapter pride themselves in excelling in areas outside of the chapter, as well as within. The Nu Sigma chapter was chartered on Monday, March 20th, 1978. From that day emerged what has proven to be a powerful and influential force on the Stanford University campus throughout our chapter’s legacy.
